Happy Belated Father's Day!

I would be absolutely remiss if I didn't post anything for Father's Day, even if it's already four days late. I will offer the excuse that I was too busy arranging a decent Father's Day for my husband, but for the sake of transparency it was actually a very relaxed day, free of any frills and festivities. We showered (more like "sprinkled") him with gifts, had lunch and lounged around while his kids trickled in to say Happy Father's Day and spend some time with their old man. It suited him perfectly.

I would like to thank all the men who would surrender anything and devote themselves to the well-being of their family. It may be a bit too easy for any man to become a father - in fact, it makes us women cringe how easy it is - but it's a badge of rank and an incredible responsibility to be a Dad (or in my boys' case, "Dadda.")

Children need their dads more than ever...

"Before I got married, I had six theories about raising children. Now, I have six children and no theories." -John Wilmot.

"It is admirable for a man to take his son fishing, but there is a special place in heaven for the father who takes his daughter shopping" -John Sinor.

"I cannot understand how I managed to cope without getting cuddled this many times a day.” -Russel Crowe.

"He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." -Clarence Budington Kelland.
